4th Annual End of Summer Ice Cream Party

This year's End of Summer Ice Cream Party was our best ever! Over 6 gallons of homemade ice cream, close to 150 adventurous palates and a mix of 15 tried-and-true and fanciful flavors.

My oldest daughter went to town creating all the ice cream labels.

And this year, we provided small tasting spoons so everyone could sample without having to commit to a big scoop. It was like going to an ice cream shop, but instead of standing on the customer side of the cases, you got to go behind and help yourself to whatever you liked. Now what kid (or adult) wouldn't enjoy that?

Some of the big favorites included Coffee, Darkest Chocolate, Apple Pie, Mango Sorbet and Strawberry-Rhubarb Lemonade Sorbet.

And there were quite a few thumbs up for Rose Petal , Black Sesame, Dried Apricot-Pistachio and Scarlet Earl Grey which was completely devoured.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting more of the ice cream recipes, so check back frequently or subscribe below if you don't want to miss out on the scrumptiousness!

Are some of those shelves sagging?!?
