Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet


Well, if blackberry and lime make such a delicious sorbet, why not strawberry and lemon?  Think of it as a frozen strawberry lemonade slushie!


Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet

Makes about 1 quart

Combine in a small saucepan, over medium heat:
1 cup sugar (200g)
1 cup lemon juice (235ml)
Stir until sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat and set aside to cool.

In a blender, puree, along with the cooled sugar syrup:
4 cups strawberries, fresh or frozen (450g)       

Chill the puree thoroughly or overnight, then freeze in your ice cream maker following manufacturer's instructions.
